Two Colors. One Hook. Zero Tangles.
Have you ever wanted to make colorful, two-color fabric but found yourself dreading all those yarn ends to weave in—or the tangled mess that traditional colorwork can become?
Maybe you’ve admired reversible scarves and cowls and assumed they required advanced techniques. Maybe you’ve tried colorwork before and found it more frustrating than fun. Maybe you’ve simply been looking for a faster, cleaner way to bring two colors into your crochet.
Tunisian With A Twist™ is exactly that. It’s rhythmic, it’s faster than traditional colorwork, and it produces textured, colorful, reversible fabric with minimal ends to weave in. Once you feel the rhythm, you won’t want to put it down.
What Makes This Technique Different
Tunisian With A Twist™ uses a double-ended hook to create two-color reversible fabric. Because both colors are carried continuously, there are almost no ends to weave in at the end. The result is textured, colorful fabric that looks polished on both sides—perfect for scarves, cowls, and dishcloths. The technique is rhythmic and faster than traditional colorwork, and you’ll leave with the foundation to create two-color projects with confidence.
What You’ll Learn
In this hands-on 3-hour class, you’ll learn how to work with a double-ended hook and create four different stitch variations. Each stitch produces a different texture and color pattern, giving you options for visual interest across all of your projects.
We’ll cover:
-
How to work with a double-ended hook — including how to manage two colors without tangles
-
Four stitch variations — each producing a distinct texture and color pattern so you have real creative range
-
How the two-color technique eliminates yarn end chaos — because finishing should feel satisfying, not like a chore
-
How to apply what you’ve learned — so you leave ready to start a real two-color project with confidence
Why This Class Works
Most colorwork techniques ask you to manage two yarns simultaneously and deal with the consequences later. This technique is built differently. The double-ended hook and the two-color method work together so that color and texture happen naturally, without the usual complications. This class teaches you exactly how—stitch by stitch, variation by variation.
Who This Class Is For
This class is perfect for you if you are an advanced beginner or beyond who:
-
Knows how to make a chain, yarn over, and pull up loops on the hook
-
Wants to work with two colors without the frustration of traditional colorwork
-
Is curious about the double-ended hook and wants to finally learn how to use it
-
Wants reversible, polished fabric that looks far more complex than the process actually is
What to Bring
DK weight yarn in 2 colors—one ball of each is plenty since we will be making swatches. A double-ended crochet hook one size larger than you would normally use with DK weight yarn (a G, H, or I hook will work well).
A full-color handout is included with your registration for a $5.00 materials fee. No homework required.
A New Favorite Technique Is Waiting for You

Tunisian With A Twist™ is one of those techniques. Students leave this class genuinely excited to cast on their first project.
I think you’re going to love this one.
