November 2026 – Learn Polish Star

Polish Star stitch creates geometric, dimensional lace with striking visual impact. Using the interwoven chain loop technique, you’ll braid and cross loops in specific sequences to form repeating star motifs. The result is textured fabric with depth and structure, beautiful for scarves, shawls, and statement accessories.

In this class, you’ll learn how to create the Polish Star pattern using two colors of fingering weight yarn. We’ll cover how to work the interwoven chain loops, braid them, and cross them to form the distinctive star shape while maintaining consistent tension. The technique is worked flat in rows, and we’ll start a scarf together so you can see how the pattern repeats and builds. By the end of class, you’ll have a strong foundation and enough of your scarf completed to continue confidently at home.

The stitch looks complex, but once you understand the braiding rhythm, it becomes meditative and satisfying to work.
