Thankful

Thankful comes from my love of the fall and winter holidays! With a simple lace main field and a fun shell edging, this shawl will become a favorite to make.  Make the main shawl from side to side and you will be able to adjust the wingspan by adding or removing any number of the 2-row repeats as needed. Then add the shell edging that has a uniquely gorgeous increase at the point to add some flair! Choose your color scheme and this shawl will shine on any outfit you choose!

Finished Size:
60 inches (152 cm) wide (not including wings of edging) by 23 inches (58 cm) deep (including edging) at longest point

Wings of the edging add another 10 inches (25 cm) to wingspan

Materials:
874 yds/800m yards fingering weight yarn

Sample uses Nanette Wake Studio Fingering Weight Yarn (85% Superwash Merino/15% Nylon; 3.5oz/100g=437 yards/400m) in the colors (A) Copper Penny and (B) Maron.

Hook:
US Size E/4 (3.5 mm) or size needed for gauge.
