    Changing Seasons

    $8.00

Changing Seasons is a beautiful two-color shawl worked from side to side. With a simple main field and a filet crochet style edging, this shawl is perfect for any time of day – morning, noon, or evening. Use a speckle and a solid as seen in the sample, or change it up using gradients, single colors, or even stripes.  Make it the way you like it!

In working the shawl, you will learn how to change the color mid-row, every row, without having to cut and weave in ends. You will even learn the trick to hide the strand of yarn that moves up the middle of the fabric.

Beautifully simple. Simply elegant. Ambient is a side-to-side shawl with a half double crochet main field and a simple yet elegant edge. It’s All About The Donuts

    $8.00

Who doesn’t love a good donut?

It’s All About the Donuts is the shawl that makes your wardrobe fun! Designed with 12 donut-sprinkle-inspired fingering weight mini skeins and a warm, baked, dough-inspired full-sized skein of fingering weight yarn to tie them all together – you will love this shawl.

The minis are used in groups of threes with front post stitches and alternating colors. This gives you the illusion of “sprinkles” just like on your favorite donut flavor. The honey brown brings a little subtlety to tone down the bright colors when needed. A beautiful and simple lace edging ties it all together.

Missed the original kit this pattern was designed for? Grab a set of 12 mini skeins and a coordinating full-sized hank, or make your own color combination. The sky is the limit!

  • Home of the BraveHome of the Brave

    Home of the Brave

    $7.00

Home of the Brave was inspired by the colors of the original yarn used.  I love creating projects for the American patriotic holidays and when I saw this kit of minis, I knew I needed to create something special!

Using an easy-to-memorize 8-row repeat of stitches, Home of the Brave’s main body has a beautiful lacework of undulating arrowheads with a pointed shell border. I used every last inch (and won at yarn chicken) of the kit in a gradient of red, white, and blue.  I wanted something that could be a dramatic shawl or an extra-long scarf that I could wind multiple times to give different looks. But you can change the length and/or width just by adding or subtracting repeats as stated in the notes. It is a fast crochet, even at its original length, but the pattern will keep even the most advanced crocheter engaged.

    All Hallow’s Eve

    $8.00

Halloween, or All Hallow’s Eve as I prefer to call it, is actually a favorite day of mine. I have always gravitated to the fun side of Halloween rather than the scary. And in that vein is how I designed the All Hallow’s Eve shawl.

Worked with 13 mini skeins of yarn exclusively for the Forbidden Fiber Co.’s Halloween Mystery Kit 2021, this works up with easy stitches first and gradually makes its way to a simple yet engaging lace, and is finished off with a shell edging.  It works up fast, and before you know it, its ready for a night or trick or treating.

Missed out on the kit? Grab your favorite mini skein kits and make your colorful shawl perfect for any season!

  • Utsalady PointUtsalady Point

    Utsalady Point

    $7.00

The edging of Utsalady Point (pronounced its-a-ladee) reminds us of ships’ masts, and tall ships that used to moor just off of Utsalady Bay in the 19th century. The point is now a beautiful community of beach houses off of Camano Island overlooking the bay.

Utsalady Point is worked side to side, both main field and edging all in one piece, including color changes.  At the end of the shawl, you only have 4 ends to weave in. Primarily made with double crochet, the edge includes the taller triple crochet with a few singles and chain spaces to boot.  Make sure to watch the Bonus video included below to learn how to change the colors in a way that the yarn being carried up is hidden in the work!

  • PacePace

    Pace

    $8.00

Pace (Italian meaning “peace”; pronounced PĂ-chĕ) is a beautiful half-circle shawl worked in two colors. Working from the top down, Pace begins with a simple rhythm of a plain double crochet field, striped at intervals to break up the main color. The edging is an easy yet stunning bit of lace designed to add a bit of romance to the look of the shawl.

Developed with the idea of using 2 single hanks of yarn in your stash that have been begging for a project, beginners and advanced crocheters alike will fall in love with the elegant look of this shawl. You’ll relish how quick Pace is to make and how easy it is to wear.

    End of Summer

    $8.00

Soft and flirty, the End of Summer shawl is a fast-growing triangular wrap. Each section builds on the previous one to challenge the beginning crocheter with new stitch patterns but yet keep the advanced crocheter engaged. Use lace-weight yarn for the summer-to-fall transition but the pattern lends itself to using fingering weight as well for a bit warmer wrap.
