  • English BoomEnglish Boom

    English Boom

    $7.00

English Boom is a beautiful state park on Camano Island, WA, along the Skagit Bay. During the 1920s and 1930s, the English Lumber Co. logged the forests to the east of Stanwood and Mount Vernon. The company stored tree logs here, a facility called a “boom.” Portions of the storage facility still stick up out of the water. Now it’s a park where nature is slowly reclaiming the land from the damage done. For more information on park, visit: https://www.islandcountywa.gov/PublicWorks/Parks/Pages/english-boom.aspx.

“English Boom” is inspired by this beautiful 6-acre park. Designed in reclaimed fibers, the straight rows remind us of the logs that remain of the original structures. Use it as a shawl, scarf or a cowl. The possibilities are endless!

  • TanglementTanglement

    Tanglement

    $7.00

“Tanglement“ is a fancy word for “mesh”. The name fits the shawl beautifully. When looking at the stitches they “tangle” into each other, producing a gorgeous mesh of color.

Tanglement is a perfect shawl to make with any gradient yarn. The nature of the stitches will show off the shades as the shawl grows. It may look complicated, but Tanglement is actually a very quick crochet, just a two-row repeat once the pattern is established.

    Fathomless

    $7.00

Fathomless is a study of pairing two unlikely colors together to create a harmonious combination of colors.  Inspired by the movie The Abyss, the main field of the shawl is worked in a simple double crochet plain field.  The variegated color reminds me of the colors you see dancing on top of the water when visiting the coast.  The lacy edging worked once the main shawl is completed,  gives the illusion of going down into the depths of the ocean where everything is chilly and dark, but knowing there is beauty all around you, only if you know where to look.  This shawl will sparkle in any color combination, but I challenge you to stretch your mind to create an unconceivable pairing of colors to make this shawl glow!

  • MorecellementMorecellement

    Morecellement

    $7.00

Morcellement is a verb defined as “division into small portions” in the 1933 Oxford Dictionary. As this pattern was originally my 2017 Mystery Shawl Crochet-A-Long and sent out in portions, I thought the name was perfect!

This triangular shawl is worked from the top down starting with simple stitches and as the pattern goes forward, the pattern becomes more lacy and eventually has a 1-row edging. Light and elegant, everyone will love this shawl.

Tilt socks are toe-up style crochet socks with a simple slanted cable pattern that is reversed on the opposite foot.  This results in a beautiful unisex sock that everyone will love. Gorgeous in solid and tonal yarns, this sock is also a charming pattern in variegated, handpainted or long striping yarns.

Written in 4 feet widths, the sock is easily customizable to feet length and leg height just by adding more or less of the 2 pattern row repeats once the slanting cables are established.  Notes are included to help create a larger leg for those who may have thicker calves than others.

  • HoneycombHoneycomb

    Honeycomb

    $7.00

This darling Honeycomb headband is a quick project. Because you can change the width of the piece by the stitch multiple, this pattern will not only translate to other weights of yarn but can be made in multiple sizes based on the head circumference you are creating. Increasing the number of stitches as well as repeating the row pattern to add to the length, you can create a cowl or even the sides of a tote bag.

I used a solid color, but imagine this headband in a gradient, self-striping, variegated, or even a speckled yarn. What will you choose?
