  1. Hi, Karen! I keep missing the time for the live chat. I just want to tell you I am so excited for all of your upcoming events, classes and the pattern club. I wish I could go ahead and buy some of these yarns, but I am absolutely determined not to buy any yarn until I’ve used all of the yarn in my stash. That’s okay, it will keep me working hard to meet my goal!

I bought a few patterns from you recently, as I’ve already got the yarn I hope will work with them.

I always think of lots of ideas and questions while watching your videos. I really enjoyed the stories about your grandmother, (Nonna?). Someday, I would love for you to do a course or just give us an explanation of how one keeps the top of longer or bulkier stitches from growing. For example, when I do a bobble or a triple, the top of the stitch (looking down at the row) is bigger than the other stitches. I’ve tried lots of things to fix this, but I haven’t had a great deal of success! I’ll bet your Nonna didn’t have that problem!

Prayers winging your way as you go through your treatments!

PS I just remembered a book I really enjoyed, called “Coffee with Nonna”, which you might enjoy as a distraction at some point. Take care!

    1. Hi Michele!

I’m so glad you commented here!! I know how busy life can get. Hopefully, you can join us live again soon.

I did see that you bought some patterns! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Im trying to use up a lot of my stash too, so in 2023 you are going to see a whole lot of stash-busting projects… maybe a few on the blog on 2022 as well.

I would love to see a photo of what you mean that the top of the stitch is bigger. Do you mean the “chain” at the top of the stitch or bobble is bigger or that they are taller as you go along? Let me know and I will do what I can to address it!

I love to talk about my Nonna a lot! So I am sure she will pop up from time to time. She was one special lady. Is this the book you were talking about? If so I am going to have to get it!!

  2. Hi! You always respond so quickly!

I mean the chain at the top is bigger. I will try to make the problem happen, take a photo, and e-mail it to you. I don’t think I’m the only one who has this issue, so maybe it would help others as well. Thank you!

Yes, that is the book I mean. It was a heart-warming read; very sweet.

    Take care!

    1. OK, I know what you are talking about! I have it happen too. I can help with it! Give me until after my treatments are over for a couple of weeks (Nov 4th is the last one) but I have it on my to-do list to do a blog post about! With video too I hope!
