Quick Pattern: St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock
Today I wanted to share a fun and easy pattern with you for a shamrock I designed way back in 2000! 🙂 It was part of a coaster set I did, but since I’m revamping that set, I thought I would just share the pattern for the shamrock.
What I love about this pattern is that you can use any size yarn or thread to make them. I am using worsted weight in the video, but that is so I can clearly show the stitches.
The other wonderful thing about this pattern is that it is made with just 2 rounds! I can crochet one up in about 5 minutes!
Below is the video instruction and then just under that I have the written instructions.
Rnd 1: Ch 6, join to form ring; ch 1 (sc in ring, ch 3) 4 times; join with sl st in first sc. (4 ch 3 spaces)
Rnd 2: * In next ch 3 sp, work (sl st, ch 5, 2 dtr, tr, dc, tr,2 dtr, ch 5, sl); repeat from * twice more; in next ch 3 sp work (sl st, ch 10, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next 6 ch, ); join with sl st to 1st sl st. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
I think these would make a fun package topper or even a fun garland if you strung 10 or 12 of them!
What would you use them for?
