New Pattern Coming: Cactus Dream

Cactus Dream was born from my need to have a beautiful sweater made in a very beautiful yarn. Cropped with ¾ length sleeves, you will feel simply elegant in this cardigan. It’s the perfect seasonal transition piece too.
It is a simple piece to make with no shaping. Just crochet the pieces, seam, add the edgings and buttons, and you are done. Dress it up with silk and linen or throw it over a pair of jeans, Cactus Dreams will be your go-to cardigan every time you leave the house!
This pattern is written in US terminology.
Recommended Yarn
Cactus Dream was designed in The Fiber Seed Sprout Sock in the color Succulent. However, you may use any fingering weight yarn that will get the gauge.
Cactus Dream is very versatile and lends itself to semi-solids/solids, variegated, and gradients too. Don’t be afraid to try out a color scheme you prefer!
Techniques and Difficulty
Cactus Dream incorporates the following crochet techniques:
- Basic stitches (chain, single crochet, double crochet)
Construction
Cactus Dream is constructed in pieces – without any sort of shaping except for the tapered sleeves.
Customization
You can adjust the length of Cactus Dream by removing or adding 2-row repeats in the main body back and fronts. However, you will need to adjust the yardage needed.
If you would rather use a different weight of yarn, I recommend weights from lace to DK.
